Time After Time

One Year.  I've made it one year.

"Buzznet is lame" is probably the first thing that I said about this place. It was introduced to me by my good pal, Madison, a little over a year ago. She wouldn't shut up about it and my other pal, Audrey, began to obsess over it, so I decided that I should make an account and make an opinion of it for myself. I didn't know how to post things or how to do most things, but after I got my first photo and journal up, things just sort of melted into my page.

I remember the first comment that I ever got from someone else; I was so scared that they were going to come find me to kill me. It was complete ridiculousness. I got my first 10 buzzes or so, and was, honestly, freaked out by them. I didn't know what the hell they meant; I know that I didn't want them.

Time went on...I posted more, received more input, talked with my first few friends (PercyDust and Kat92) and began to really understand these darn social networking sites. I loved to find things out about my friends, but as far as their posts were concerned, I was still very confused.

In the real world, I had been a really negative kid who was actually just graduating high school at 16. After NOT getting accepted to the University of Chicago, I had no plans for the rest of my days. I really had so much focused into one thing that it all just melted into my worst failure.

As the summer days came, I was awarded a laptop that my dad used to use, and I've had it ever since. It's name is Archbishop Wallace, and it really doesn't like to be near water. Now, I didn't fully obsess over Buzznet right away, it took me a few months, but by August, I really couldn't get enough of everything that Buzznet had to offer.

The beloved Triinu and Funksteena were two of the people that really helped me just open up and start getting into commenting others posts. And after I met them, things just went quick. I joined about half a million groups, commented over half a million posts, and had the best of internet friends. Things just kept flourishing more and more as the days went by.

By October of last year, I had hit my peak of time spent on here. I was averaging out to something like 18 hours a day here, which really took a toll on my body. Even though I really didn't like my extra physical baggage, I really loved the people that I was meeting. By then, I had formed great bonds with such sweet people like Sue and Kerri, and this site was literally my life.

On December 17th of last year, I became a Buzznet Original. Having barely joined the group maybe a week before I was awarded the title and little pixel bit, I was confused, but very grateful. I hope that you know that just hearing that people cared about me during that point just made my life. It still does. The badge won't mean anything, but I'll always remember the write-up that m'dear friends Wendy and Sue put together on my behalf. I thank you again. *shoves hugs through computer*

I became a Buzzmaker a month or so ago. Not sure what I did, but I know that whatever it is, I must be doing some sort of good for the site! Powers that be, thank you. I'll meet you someday in the future, and we should do lunch or something. ; )

Too many friends that I've made: Sara (xBlanksFace), Sarah (HyperBallad13), Millie (MillieAnn282000), Becky (Kassady), Charlotte (DelaneyDrive), Paxgitmo, Languisity, Joromime, Savannah (TryingToFindTheWords) and my dearest of dears, best of bests, twinniest of twinnies, Kristyn (Ikkyg).

I'll have special momentos going out over the next few journals; be sure to look out for your name. I can't wait to just thank you for everything that you've done for me.

The initial point of me ever making a journal like this was so that I could let you know that I'm deleting my account. I have reconsidered and decided to stick around, but I'm honestly not up to posting comments or anything much lately. The inspirational spill of smiles is a little drained right now, but I'm sure that it'll come back to me, and you can bet that I'll be back here in a heartbeat. This slump, which many of you extremely keen people have noticed, will go away, and I've always said that I'm going down with the ship, so you can bet I'll be here until Buzznet decides to call it quits.

Much love to you all. I'm off to sleep.

There is a reason that sunshine isn't out all day, and it's probably because sunshine gets cranky without much sleep.  : )

Oh, Cyndi Lauper!  She does say it best.

If you're lost, you can look and you will find me, time after time.

If you fall, I will catch you; I'll be waiting, time after time.

If you're lost you can look and you will find me, time after time.

If you fall, I will catch you; I'll be waiting, time after time.

If any of you ever need anything at anytime, I've always been here with open eyes and a smile that looks almost painful sometimes.  ; )

How To Pick Someone Up At A Roller Skating Rink

Yesterday, I had myself a blast. My parents had planned a day of fun, and I had the best time. We woke up, drove a couple hours to a bigger city, went to a mall, went ice skating, went roller skating, went to visit the family, went to IHOP and drove home. It was fabulous and there will probably be pictures posted later, but what I would love to address right now would be some things that I learned at the roller skating rink that I was at today. From one teen to the world, here are my tips on how to pick someone up at a roller skating rink.

Tip #1:

When you first walk onto the floor, be sure to scope things out and make a note of who you may be attracted to. This is the superficial level, and if you are like me, chances are you won't really care about what the person looks like, but if you are like my sister, you'll make a note of 'who is hot' and 'who is not hot'.

Tip #2:

Don't talk to yourself. There is nothing more awkward that walking up to someone talking to yourself. *headdesk*

Tip #3:

Before you start showing off your super skating ability, practice for a while. Get used to your environment; you don't want to look or feel like a loser when you finally make your move on the person(s) you have your eyes on. Try to build a little confidence! Every self-help book out there tells you to have confidence, and believe me, you have to have a lot of it to start something successful.

Tip #4:

Figure out your approach, and go for it. I decided, "Okay, I am going to go out there, go around twice, then I'll go talk to them." I kept telling myself that, and I decided that I'd open with a pick-up line that I've decided is the sweetest one in the world. I went around twice, got close to the person and fell flat on my butt!

Tip #5:

MAKE THE BEST OF THE SITUATION!! As soon as I fell, I lifted my hand and asked for some assistance. When the person of my desire lowered their hand, I accidentally pulled them down right next to me! It was the funniest of things. I got up, helped them out and we were all good.

Tip #6:

Breaking the ice is important; make sure that it is all broken before moving on into conversation. And during conversation, be sure to speak clearly and get to know about the other person as much as you can. It's always nice to meet someone new! My little situation definitely broke the ice, and we had a very engaging conversation about ghosts and the Village People afterwards... It was odd, but hilarious. Hee hee. ; )

Tip #7:

Keep a happy-go-lucky attitude; it's both contageous and a perfect mood setter. Seriously, things couldn't have gone better, and I had a big smile on my face the whole time.

Tip #8:

Never get discouraged if things don't work out. Don't let anyone take away any confidence from yourself. As soon as you build it, keep it! : )

I'd also like to mention that if a crappy techno remix of a quintessential 1980s song *cough*timeaftertime*cough* is being played, and you are angered by it, don't get mad about it right away. Just complain about it like you know that you will later.

Love to you all. : )

The Gaieties Of The 1980s: The History of WHAM!

George Michael (left) and Andrew Ridgeley (right)

So, as part of mine and Wendy's (JohnnyNotSid's) Music History group, here is my first contribution!

Now, I have always wanted to write a journal about George Michael, but I've never really gotten around to doing it, but this is the start of me finally getting around to it. It's been a rather long time since I've written about a great band, and here is one about George Michael's and Andrew Ridgeley's memorable musical creation, WHAM!.

The beginning of the 1980s was a time of confusion and disco backlash. Music was in such a rut during the time period; NO ONE KNEW WHERE IT WAS GOING! The second British Invasion had swept in during the late '70s with the punks and their music, such as Sex Pistols and Elvis Costello and the Attractions. But with punk beginning to turn into the new mainstream media, the new generation began to want something different. That is when the New Wave and Synthpop began!

It started off with bands like Dire Straits and The Police, but then spawned to a wide array of musical bliss. And thanks to MTV being started in 1981, bands like WHAM! received a large amount of exposure due to the fact that the new channel needed videos to broadcast. There was a large amount of British bands during the period who were making great videos, so MTV used them here in the U.S. to change the world forever (thank you, Buggles; Random Trivia: "Video Killed The Radio Star" was the very first music video and can be blamed for the creation of music videos. Again, thank you!).

Now, WHAM! was created after George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley failed to get previous rock-n-roll band, The Executive, off the ground. They soon decided to change their name, and it worked! Before they had time to think, they had signed on to Innervision Records. This was a severely bad decision on their part because they were very young, and so they soon left the record label after losing a major legal battle with the company. The duo didn't give up their hopes! After reading their new contract fully this next time, they signed to CBS Records (Columbia Records in the U.S. and Canada), and for their music to reach a broader scope, the boys signed onto Epic Records as well.

With their companies settled, they both set off in different directions for the band's full success. George was the man in control of the band's music while Ridgeley took care of their image and all frontman responsiblities. They both worked in perfect synch with one another, and it eventually led to them becoming a household name.

Their label required an album, and in 1983, their first official album, Fantastic, was released. Their early works from the album such songs as "Wham Rap! (Enjoy What You Do?)" and "Young Guns (Go For It)", exploded in both the UK and the United States. Andrew made sure that he was doing his job as image consultant the best that he could and transformed them both into fashion icons. Whenever I think of the perfect '80s boy, I always think of what George Michael looks like and just explode into both joy and laughter. They are epic. WHAM! owes another thanks to MTV because of the huge amount of teens that decided to stop thinking for themselves and start loving what they saw on TV. There huge amount of sex appeal surrounding the boys, and the girls (and girly boys [hee hee]) couldn't get enough of it! Each single went along with a neat-o video! It was all fantastic.

George Micheal (top) and Andrew Ridgeley (bottom) - No comment on this...

But WHAM! wasn't the only one to find out that they could use this to their advantage. With more catchy, poppy, trendy songs being made and more bands stealing teen attention, WHAM! decided to step up their game and released their second album, Make It Big. This was when the pair was at their musical and popularity peak. Singles from the album: "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go", "Freedom" and "Careless Whisper". I'm so very proud to admit that my parents have 3 copies of this album in their collection of the best of the '80s, and one of the copies I have playing right now. If you haven't heard it, look around for it; Make It Big is certified 5x platinum in the United States, so finding a copy shouldn't be too hard to find! ; )

Any time spent after 1985 between the band members were spent fighting over one thing or another. Andrew argued that George Michael was getting way too much credit for his musical presence, whereas he was barely getting noticed at all, and George thought that Ridgeley didn't contribute enough. That was one of the arguments that eventually led up to the big break-up between the boys, among other things. They both had their futures to think of, so in 1986, "The Edge Of Heaven" was the final single ever to be played by them again at Wembley Stadium on June 28th.

They have since parted and both hardly ever speak of their experience. Andrew Ridgeley attempted a shot at music soon after the break-up, but it ended very quickly. He decided to lead a simple life, and now lives happily with his partner Keren Woodward, from the band Bananarama, in the UK. Michael had a major personal battle with his sexuality during the rest of the '80s and majority of the '90s, but eventually became an upstanding, respectable individual artist. Now, enough about him; I'll be doing a journal solely about him very soon. : )

Panic at the Disco: Be Original, Not The Beatles!

Does anyone else think that Brendon Urie looks like a young Rick Springfield?

Panic at the Disco's Brendon Urie (lead singer/keyboardist)

1960's band Zoot's Rick Springfield (guitarist)

I think they look alike, but whatever.  : )

I'd also like to comment and say that the status that Panic at the Disco has shall never reach the level of the Beatles.  I'm sorry.  I fully support the band, but I don't like the fact that their new album was influenced by the Beatles.  Having listened to it almost 3 times through today, I can safely say that the Beatles would be pissed if they were all around to hear it and voice their opinion on the album.  They really should have looked into their childhood for inspiration if anything.  I refuse to listen to their new album again, and I wouldn't dare write a review for it.  Essentially, Pretty. Odd. is a big miss for me.  :*(

That would be their opinion, and this is mine.

For some reason, I have a really bad feeling about this.  Ever since I heard about it, it hasn't sat right with me.  Next thing you know, bands like Fall Out Boy will be slapped with Queen related to them somehow, and I couldn't handle that at all.  I love Fall Out Boy, don't get me wrong; I just think that these bands should influence themselves and make a name for themselves.

Let's hope things don't come to that.  *crosses fingers*

Anywho, just another opinion on the matter and whatnot.

Enjoy your day!

Oh, For The Love Of Buzznet!

Well, over the last few days, I've been feeling a little off.  Not because of this place, but because of sicknesses.  It's always bad when you have a horrible migraine/stomach flu that lasts the span of 3 days.  'Drained' doesn't even begin to express how I feel.  As I type this, I'm keeping my head tilted downward and pushing my sunglasses closer to my face.  Whomever invented sunglasses, I'm in love with you.  If you've been reincarnated into a human, let's get married.

As of late, the balance of life is becoming so much more apparent to me.  Today, a cashier at the Safeway check-out counter seemed very distraught.  She looked very frustrated and took it out on the customer in front of me.  The customer asked for a bag for about 5 or 6 candy bars, and the cashier told her that she didn't need one.  The customer grabbed the candy bars, shoved them in her purse and stormed out of the store.  I could just feel the hate transfer from the cashier to the customer, and it bothered me.

Why would someone who is having a bad day want to ruin someone else's day?  Is it to bring people down to their level of agony?  Is it part of some hate mission that is going on between everyone in the world that I'm just totally oblivious to?

As soon as I got up to the cashier, I greeted her with a "Hello!  How are you doing?"  The woman looked up at me, sighed, and said, "I'm doing fine."  I stood there smiling, trying my hardest to send telepathic positive messages to her, and broke it with this comment (that I added a little jingle to): "It's a jolly good time when your mind is feeling fine!"  I changed my smile to the big, cheesy grin that I'm constantly sporting, and the cashier looked up at me and she smiled.  SHE SMILED!!!

This woman, who just a couple of seconds ago wasn't even feeling up to giving a customer a bag for candy bars and went out of her way to be a jerk to the customer, just smiled from a little jingle that I made up on the spot.  She rang up the rest of my groceries and started laughing!  "That song that you just did made my day."  I did another cheesy grin and payed for my stuff.

"It's always better to make someone laugh than to make someone mad," I said.  With that, I left and she met the next customer with a smile.

This balance of life that I'm discovering is a fascinating thing.  I'm realizing that through cancellation of poor emotions with rich emotions, I can make some difference in someone's day, if only it was for that half a minute.

This all ties down to my presence here on Buzznet.  I like to think that there is cheer being spread from myself to others and spread from those others to more people.  I'm starting to really feel the love, and it's so splendid.  It sounds cheesy, but I've never had a better rush than a love rush.

So, the next time someone you see is having a bad day, make a friendly effort to make their day just a little better.  Even if it doesn't work, don't get discouraged!

Change is at hand.  Balance is needed for everything.  Do your part and spread some joy to help the natural balance of the universe.  We are all integral parts of this constant good and evil battle.

And don't forget to smile all the time.  You always look better when you smile.  : )

10 Things To 10 Different People

1.  List some things you want to say to 10 different people but you don’t know how.
2.  Don’t say who they are.
3.  Feel free to comment, but don’t confirm or answer anything.
4.  This is in no particular order at all

These are people that you may or may not know.  Gotta keep the mystery going.

1.  You hurt me.  For so long, I've kept my mouth shut, but I couldn't help but do so.  It's better for everyone that we just forget this whole endeavor.  You will never hurt me again.

2.  I'm so sick of you.  Seriously, get a life, and keep away from mine.  For so long, there have been moments where you have stolen my identity, and it's gone on way too long.  I've been done with you for a while; I hope you realize that someday.

3.  I am so crushing on you.  Like bad.  I've made mistakes when it comes to the words I've said, but I truly do mean everything I've ever said to you.  If ever there was an opening for something to begin, I would take you with me and we'd be inseparable.  You would love it, and I would love you.

4.  I'm sorry that I brought you down with me.  There are so many decisions that I could have avoided, and we could have all been friends with everyone again.  I screwed that up for me, and I feel responsible for doing it to you as well.  I just want to tell you that I love you, and I hope that you can forgive me for bringing you straight down into the gutter, right alongside myself.

5.  I was never supposed to love you.  In my life's agenda, you were never a speed bump or even a pebble that I'd have to cross.  Who knew that you'd be a mountain?  Who knew that I'd never get over you?  Who knew that I'd see you all the time after we parted?  Well, I guess that I knew the last one, and I assure you, no one in the world that is even remotely like you will ever get close to someone like me.  It is my life's goal to see you grow up to be the biggest failure on Earth.  You should have stuck with me, babe.

6.  I love everything about you.  I wish that I was old enough for you.  Someday, I will be, then we can frolick in the flowers all the live long day.

7.  GET OVER YOURSELF!  STOP ACTING SO PATHETIC!  YOU HAVE A PERFECT LIFE; STOP PRETENDING THAT YOU DON'T!  FAKER!

8.  When I first saw you, it was love at first site.  Not even kidding.

9.  If I could ease your mind, I'd do everything in my power to do so.  You will never know how much I love you right now.  I'd love to be the balance in your life.  We'd make the perfect couple.

10.  I wish that I never had to move.  I wish that we could have spent the rest of our days with one another.  I'm ver doubtful that you care about me the same way tha tI care about you, but I will always feel this way.  And you will always feel that way.  It happens, and I've learned to live with it.

Now, to scare the world, 5 statements are directed to 5 different people here on Buzznet.

No kidding here.

Je ne comprends pas francais?!

As I began to attempt to decipher ChloeTrainsel's french blog site, I've discovered that all of the french that I had studied so hard to learn for the three years that I was in high school has almost entirely evacuated from my memory.

I literally felt a slap hit the side of my face, and it stung worse than any physical attack ever could.  My memory is slipping.  So, I will be calling my old French teacher on Monday to see if there is any way that she can lend me some reading material.  I'm confident that in a few weeks of studying, I can get back into the synch of things.  It just sucks when stuff like this happens.  It sorta scares me for the future.

I will be going to Pueblo, Colorado next week.  I've heard that the graffiti there is just wonderful, and I have yet to see a piece of graffiti that is prettier than any piece in Kassady's collection.  It will also be nice because I can hang out with my aunt and cousins.  It'll be so nice to just be able to get away from my house, despite the fact that I'll freak out from being in for so long.

My father comes home on May 5th from a two year tour of service in Iraq!  My mother is working with the Veteran's center in a nearby town, and we will be having a parade for my dad!  It will be such an awesome surprise for him.  He has been in the military for 18 years, so the veterans are all for throwing a parade in my dad's honor.  I love veterans.

So, I have to go in to the doctor's office in a few weeks to get a full body physical, just to have it in case I decide I want to do some sport or something in Chicago.  I'd really love to do track, but to be honest, I'd have to start really hard, really fast right at this second in order for me to be able to catch up to any of these other athletes.

But wait.  I'm all for living for the moment.  So, I think that I just convinced myself to start getting more rest and more running each day.  I'm sorry, everyone, but I've really got to start balancing things out better.  Over the last few months, I've had about 90% of my energy shoved into this website, and it is time that I start making something of an effort to balance out my life.

Everything is about balance.  Inner peace is the balance of emotions, balance of comfort and pain.  Karma is about the balance of good deeds weighed against the foul ones.  If you can balance everything out, you will be perfectly fine and succeed at life indefinitely.

The world works in mysterious ways.  Just be sure that you make the most out of the mystery of life.  ; )

Au revior!  (I can at least remember that much!)

Pull Out Your Brain And Soak It In Dr. Manhattan's Debut Album - A Review Of Dr. Manhattan's "Dr. Manhattan"

Dr. Manhattan - Dr. Manhattan

1. "Big Chomper, Big Chomper"

The energy of the album explodes from this beginning track.  You hear a combination of keyboards and guitars with static of vocals that combine to make one hell of a composition!  This track is one of those songs that you just can't help but get up and dance to.  Fun to listen to, fun to dance to; "Big Chomper, Big Chomper" is WIN.

2. "You Put The I In Team"

A piano melody combined with some heavy drums and the same vocals as the last, life and maintain energy.  It doesn't slow down for a second; the guitar kicks your ears in the best possible way so you can't help but keep headbanging.
The only part that I wasn't very partial to was the bridge.  It slowed everything down and the whole rest of the song preceeding felt like a let-down.  The depression fades...

3. "Dirty, Scandalous, Dirty"

A rocking song, through and through.  The keyboards utter a covered up eerie tune; the drums really stand out and are played in perfect synchronicity with the guitars.  Listening to this, I thought of the band, The Horrors, and it made me love this song all the more.

4. "Claims Should Echo"

"High hopes come back without a solution.  Here we are again, so eager to pretend.  Our lonesome hearts dare us to tear them apart."  I cannot think of any better music to go with these lyrics.

5. "Gunpowder: A Ballet"

The vocals are much better heard in this song, and the guitars are left out more than the previous songs, and the keys step it up.  Semi-depressing lyrics spoken from a mutter of voices combined with the skills of keyboard/percussion stylings of Andrew Morrison is heaven.

6. "The Party's Opinion"

Fast-pacing up the album at halfway through = a very successful move.  There are screams exchanged between the vocalists, but the beats never seem to stop.  Crash symbols come into major play here: adding chaos and confusing to the already fast and shaky song.

7. "Tracey's Buns"

Here is a comically dark dedication song to a special someone.  No drums, no keyboards; just acoustic guitar.

Think the Plain White T's song, "Hey There, Delilah" meets Schoolyard Heroes' "Dude, Where's My Skin?".  Sort of funny, odd and caring at the same time.

8. "To Feel Cozy Surrounded By Cats"

This song is a mess of intoxication, and yes, that is a good thing in this case.  It's upbeat with steady drums doing their job and the lyrics return to being so full of static that your body's natural electricity gets stalled in your brain, causing massive intoxication.  Don't worry, it's a good thing.

9. "Baton Rouge"

Wow!  Something that I wouldn't have expected to hear: accordian action!  This has sort of a burlesque, horror vibe about it, and the vocals are as soft as a spider crawling up your leg.  We even get some muted trumpet playing in the middle of the song; it only sweetens the song.  "You've been warned, I'm sure it's true. I'm so new to love; just hold on."

10. "Minds Like Ours"

If the hushed voices aren't enough to pull you into this song, you'll definitely fall for the intensity of the voices following.  The vocals and guitars have been bumped up a few pegs creating a mass of energy throughout the rest of the song.

11. "Pepper"

You've got some serious bass in this song that you can hear very well!  The song doesn't seem to be well-collected at all, but that makes me love it all the more.  It sounds as though it is half improvisation and half practiced pieces.  It's a unique piece of work; something hard to find these days.

Perhaps, this band has heard of another group known as I Am Ghost.  The lyrics and sounds are very similar (with the exception of the violin).

Dr. Manhattan is:

    Matt Engers - Vocals, Guitar
    Adam Engers - Bass, Vocals
    Nick Vombrack - Drums, Vocals
Andrew Morrison - Keyboards, Percussion, Vocals

- Album Title: Dr. Manhattan
- Artist: Dr. Manhattan
- Score (1 being horrible, 10 being the best thing your ears have ever heard!): I give this album a 9 out of 10!
- Favorite Song(s): "Pepper", "Claims Should Echo", "Big Chomper, Big Chomper" and "Baton Rouge"
-What did you like about it: This album is so unpolished that it isn't even funny, but when I listen to it, it makes everything sound so much better.  It has rekindled my love for the unpolished album.  This album is an instant forever favorite.
-What didn't you like about it: Well, being a bassist, I was rather sad that a lot of the bass parts were overshadowed.  Not so much at the end, but there were some parts where I just couldn't hear much of the bassist at all.  :*(
- Other Albums you would compare it to: Lover's Requiem - I Am Ghost, The Horrors - EP - The Horrors, Bone Palace Ballet - Chiodos

Shiona Walker.  Words cannot do her any justice.  Her photos, her personality, her attitude: she is amazing in every way that a person can be.

As many people here know, she is a professional photographer who's band shots are phenomenal!  She captures a band's energy as well as if it was just as easy as breathing.  Sho, you are too cool and there are no adjectives that I can mutter to compliment you and your work enough.

Back Into My Musical Nonsense!!

Yeah, I'm getting back into my musical journals again.  The Buzznet Essentials project is not complete!  I will continue to do highlight wonderful people very soon!  But for right now, here are my two latest obsessions.

Okay, so a while back I decided to get a subscription to TDR Records' mailing list because of a very sweet guy who talked me right on into doing so.  We talked a whole week about buying pterodactyls and trying to feed them cereal, among other things.  He also reminded me that happiness is something that should happen on occasion, and that a stable person goes through every emotion equally.

Anywho, I recently got a newsletter talking about one of their signed bands named Barely Blind.

I decided to check them out, and I really like their sound.  The vocal combination of Brad Cuccio (bass), Canaan Davis (guitar) and Reid Guildry (guitar) are very similar to the voice of the talented Mr. Anthony Raneri (from the band, Bayside).  Now, I always thought that his voice could never be repeated and sound good by anyone else, but I am pleased to stand corrected.  As far as how they compare musically, I would relate them to Cartel.

I was digging a little bit deeper and asking myself, "this sounds really...familiar."  I looked into the credits of the music that they have up so far, and Steven Saboslai (from the FBR band, Punchline) was the producer of their EP!!  I read that and nearly died!  It made my face crack with a deeper smile, hooked.

The band released their first 6-track EP, The Way We Operate, in August of last year, and all in all, I find it wonderful!  Expect a review of that coming really soon.  And they are going to be touring for a majority of this year!  Look them up in a town near you!

AND THEIR DRUMMER'S NAME IS WILL SMITH (this is sort of one of those 'enough said' moments)!!!

There is my first recent obsession, and I have to admit, this second obsession of mine hasn't been all too recent, but I does not mean that I'm not obsessed with them!

Johnny Foreigner is a trio from the Birmingham, Great Britian, and I can't get enough of the energy they shove through my computer speakers!  When I think of how to describe their music, I think of Shiny Toy Guns, except harder, faster and funner!

Last year, they managed to get signed onto Laundrette Records and release two 7" vinyls, one with handmade sleeves and picture postcards and the other with 3-D glasses and a 3-D sleeve!  The band had a falling out of sorts with their record company after the two vinyls sold out, they upgraded and signed quickly to Best Before Records. As soon as they signed, they released a 6-track EP, Arcs Across The City, and sold out their limited editions almost instantly.

I've recently been more obsessed with their combinations of smooth screams and squealing strums because of their almost-in-stores single, Our Bipolar Friends.  The limited version of this single comes out on March 10th, along with a song that none of us have heard called "The Houseparty Scene Is Killing You".

Seriously, I'm so stoked.  I don't care how much money I have to pay to get my grubby little hands on a copy of a limited edition; I'm going to get one!

The band has recently left New York, after recording a full-length, proper album, and it's release date is unknown.

Again, be expecting a review sometime pretty soon.  I'll be reviewing ALL of the stuff that they have completed and released to date, and as soon as their new album hits the stores, I'm totally going to be on it like Homer Simpson to donuts!

Mmmmm...Johnny Foreigner...*drools*

Also, on a side note:

YAY!!!  THE HONDA CIVIC TOUR BEGINS IN ONE MONTH!!!  FOR EVERYONE ATTENDING, HAVE A BLAST!!  Be sure to take lots of pictures and share your concert experience with all of us here on Buzznet!  If you don't have tickets yet, I suggest you get them before they all sell out (if they haven't already!) =]

Pete Wentz And Ashlee Simpson Are Having A Baby!!

That's right, my dear friends, they are indeed pregnant with a baby boy.  I discovered it when I was walking by his house with my Buzzmaker star and just thought, "LYK, ZOMG!  IZ DAT ASHLEE SIMPSON!?  LOOC @ MAH ZTAR!!"

Now, to move away from that fake story (HAH!) just to see if I can get anyone to not read my posts and leave a comment saying something about Ashlee Simpson and Petey Pan's child.  Jidiots.

Anywho, here's a story for you all!!  ♥

As I was lost in my thoughts, I thought about a fox.
The fox was red, gold and green...red, gold and green!

The a chameleon jumped up and bit the fox on the tail.
The fox rustled around, screaming in pain, blaming it on the rain.

The chameleon never let go, but he did hold on.
He held on so tight that the world wanted to stay forever young.

Then, he let go and the fox sat next to him and they talked.
The chatted about internets, lovers, candy canes and bombay sapphires.

While they had their conversation, their tummies rumbed with anticipation.
They went off to go get food, but there was no food served at the Love Shack.

"Get off at the next exit," a random hobo said right to them.
They stole his bicycle and made their way to the rains down in Africa!
(They both heard that the rains there were blessed).

A car crashed down by where they were, so the decided to help the driver.
It turned out to be George Michael and he was hungry like the wolf!

They soon split out of there, running as fast as they could.
The fox grew angry that he had to go so far to get to Funky Town.

When they reached the town, they found out that it is a deserted area.
All there was to see was a hole in the ground with an old man of errand going 'round and around.

The chameleon grabbed some rope and jumped on the fox's back and they ventured further.
Being as bored as they were, the chameleon decided to whip it!
(He whipped it into shape!)

The fox kicked the chameleon off of his back because it hurt.
The chameleon was going to get eaten, but decided to walk like an egyptian instead.

Trotting on and flittering across the world for a meal, they stopped.
There was a crazy gypsy who screamed, "Abra, abracadbra!  I wanna reach out and grab you!"

They freaked out and ran away as far as they could, but tripped over a rock in the middle of the road.
It wasn't a rock!  It was a turtle named Eileen who wanted food too.  The fox and chameleon said, "Come on, Eileen!!"
(Taloo-rye-ay, come on!!).

They all went on, down the road to get find a hot meal that they all can enjoy.
Vultures came to feed on doves, and our group learned about what happens when doves cry.

The animals ran away from the vultures or they would be next to be eaten by them!
They were all so hungry that they were collectively screaming, "POUR SOME SUGAR ON ME!!"

They were walking on sunshine for so long that it eventually came to night.
They never made it to their destination, but they did die that night, dancing in the dark.

And if you read through this, believe me, you are a crazy psycho!!  Just thought I'd make things a little random and give you a story for your day.

Oh, yeah, if Pete and Ashlee really do decide to have this child and not abort, then you can expect that there will be mucho hell on Earth.

Love every one of you!  =D

Diseased

Some people claim to be lonely.  Whoop-dee-do!

Loneliness is when you have nothing around you, no one wanting to have anything to do with you.

Loneliness is never having had love, never having had touch, never having had emotion.

Loneliness is the pure absence of everyone else around yourself.

Loneliness is never even noticed, for the good and the bad deeds that you've done.

I wish that I could've been lonely my whole life.  No one would have been able to hurt me.

But with every good person in the world, there are two evil ones being brewed up.

'Bleak' doesn't even begin to describe how I feel.  An end isn't too near, but it'll come faster than yours will.

I haven't been this sad in years.  I'll be back in a few days.  Don't worry about me.  Carry on as you normally would your daily lives.

I never want to feel like this again.  I never want to hear about this again.
