February 27, 2008Kill The Badges
Thank you, Savannah! She has posted a fantastic journal, inspiring me to write about an experience that I've suffered most recently. I won't mention any names (except I already mentioned Savannah's), but here it is.
For some reason, I have this sick feeling in my stomach that I am less (or more) of a person than what I really am. I hate to have a direct issue to point across on Buzznet, but I must confess, I have suffered from what I am now going to call "badge discrimination" or "badgism". This is something completely ridiculous and new to me, but I really wonder what could have happened that makes people feel this way. Jealousy? WHY!? Why would you be jealous of a tiny badge on my page?! On my comments!? There are many more things that you could be jealous of. Anger? If you find yourself angry with me, please, let me know. I would love to apologize and make things right to whomever you are; I just have to know these things! Disappointment? This is hard to touch up on. There are many things that people are disappointed about. If you find yourself disappointed, send me a note or hit me up with a message and hopefully, I can talk you through your problems. Where there is a wrong, there is a right. Self-worth issues? This, I cannot really speak too much about. I would love to help anyone who has issues with their self worth. I'm always willing to help people, always. Confusion? Confusion sucks. Sleep on it, and if you feel the same way in the morning, find someone to talk to about it. I'm all ears and completely unbiased, I promise. Recognition? If all you really want from this site is recognition, I would like you to log out and never log back in again. You are here for all of the wrong reasons, and you should look for another site to 'whore' yourself because it will 9 times out of 10, end horribly for you. I, personally, feel no anger to anyone that has this feeling on towards me; if anything, I'm more confused than ever. Why would someone go around complaining that they want a badge or that they hate people because of the badge that they have? Please, trust me when I say this: badges don't make Buzznetters good or bad. It's the person behind the badge that counts. If you don't like me, then that makes me feel like I am both, less than adequate and have represented myself on this site way too poorly. It only hurts to here put-downs, in any situation, and I know that everyone has been subject to a put-down at some point in real life. It doesn't feel good, does it? I live on Buzznet. Ask any of my friends; when the mail man gets to my house, I honestly run to my bedroom because of my fear of contact these days. My first impulse when my friend came to visit me today was to run away, and I would have if my brother wasn't in the same room with me! This is something that I need to work on, and I promise never to be offended from an insult on here again. I want this journal to tell everyone that we shouldn't want anyone to be hurt here. I don't believe that anyone, badge or no badge, should be hated. We are all humans here, and the internet is an extension of our real lives. Should we not treat people here with the same respect as we do in real life? This is going to go back to that damn debate about whether or not we should act like we do online as we do in real life. My answer is no; we should use the internet to better ourselves! It is a tool, people!! We should make the most of it and use it for what it was intended for: information and networking. But this being a community, we really should use this to put in positivity and pull out positivity as well. I've heard that I'm probably not a positive person outside of the internet, and you know what? That is completely correct, but with Buzznet, I've really learned to make the most of my time outside of the 'net and bring the most positivity to the real life table. I wish that people would do the same. I can't tell you how to use your Buzznet page or how to live your life. I just want you to know that I feel discriminated against for having my badges, and it's horrible to be subjected. It hurts. If you didn't already know, I have asked to have my badges to be removed because I don't want that kind of discrimination. It is up to Mark if I can keep my badges or not. I do appreciate them, yes, but if it means that I get looked at for being less than (or more than) a normal user, than I don't want them. I just want to keep shoving compliments down your throats and spreading joy, something much needed for some people on here. I want to put the "unity" back in "community"! Down with depression; IN WITH GLEE! And furthermore, NO MORE BADGISM!!! Thank you for reading.

February 24, 2008I'm Crushing Bad!
I can't sleep. The television is off, and I've been on and off Buzznet all morning, but I can't seem to call it quits.
There is someone that I'm crushing on...bad. Stupid hormones for making me feel hopeless one minute, then in love the next. Oh, well. I feel optimistic towards the situation, and I guess that's it. Sorry for these past few journals. I'm off my game right now. I'll post something "decent" soon. *screams at the top of my lungs* GET OUT OF MY BRAINZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Morning!

NOT VERY MANY OF THEM APPRECIATE GETTING INTIMATE WITH OTHERS AND ONLY FIND THAT THE ONE THAT THEY LOVE LOVES THEM MORE THAN THEY COULD EVER LOVE!! IT'S SO PERFECT!! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! BE CAREFUL, FUTURE AUTHORS. I'M STEALING ONE OF YOU!!!! THIS NEEDED TO BE IN CAPS BECAUSE IT IS SORT OF A REALLY IMPORTANT OCCURANCE TO ME. OH, YEAH, AND BUZZ BRIGADE ROCKS! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

February 22, 2008Scene: A Subculture
First off, let me say that I'm sick of seeing all the negativity about this particular subculture that has been exposed to the world. Think less of me, if you wish, but I don't have a bad opinion about this phase anymore. Don't get me wrong, months ago, I would have been the biggest jerk against the "scene", but as of late, I see no point in anything that anyone is doing to end it.
![]() Look at this picture. What I see is a ton of flashy colors, make-up, an idle pose and props. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THIS?! I've looked at probably thousands of pictures prior to writing this journal, and I cannot think of why people would choose to discuss these photos that people have taken of themselves. It's a total insult on the person because it is their content, not yours. Why do so many people pass all of this judgement towards the "scene" and claim that they don't judge anyone at all? It confuses me so much to think that people really just want to make others miserable because in all honesty, that is what is happening. We've lost very valuable members here on Buzznet thanks to these hate-driven anti-scene kids, and we should stop. I don't want to lose anymore. Another road that people have taken against the subculture is the criticism of idol worship. People have no right to tell other people who they can and cannot idolize. It's rude to downsize someone's hero just because you think that they are bad. If people choose to look up to a certain person, so be it. Let them live their life! You run your life, don't you? Isn't fair that they should be able to say what they wish? To me, that just seems extrememly logical. Now, "scene" is a subculture. A subculture is a specific group in a wider culture that has certain attributes that separate them from the pack. For everyone reading, don't you dare pretend that scene is the only subculture to ever have existed. Anyone remember the mods? ![]() What about those hippies? ![]() The infamous punk subculture? ![]() How about grunge? ![]() No matter how you look at things, there has almost always been a subculture. With subcultures also spawn the underground. I don't blame anyone for hating the "scene"; you are making history by being the people against this projected subculture. So, do your thing, I just wish that you would know that these subcultures are fads. These things fade away if you just give it time. Sure, there will always be that small group of scenesters that stay with their subculture, but the majority of it will fade away. Give it time. Give it a rest. I'm truly worried that there will be more and more outstanding Buzznet members to go if you continue on your spiteful route. Please, I beg you to just let it go, and get with the positive program. With that, I end this. I'm sorry for using Audrey's face, but she is one of the scenesters that everyone knows about, so I thought that it would help me get my message across. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!! And please, no drama. This was made to let out my frustration, and let people know that Buzznet is suffering for this negativity. Feel free to be as opinionated as you want though. : )

February 18, 2008Buzznet Essentials - Aperture Dilation: Kassady
So, I exploded for a while, but I'm trying to get back into the synch of things. And I was thinking today, "How am I going to get on the right track again?" Then, it hit me.
As I went through my favorites list, I saw that Kassady had tons of photos posted that I haven't seen yet, and I knew that I just had to feature her. For everyone that knows her, you love her inspirational photos, kind comments and overall personality. For everyone that doesn't, you are missing all of those things and more from your life. She has been jolly to talk to, and there are so many great things about her, but this journal is dedicated solely to her stunning photos!! Take a gander, and if you like them enough, go comment, buzz, suggest and admire them some more! ![]() Ok I Lied ![]() define me ![]() Valentines Day Is Coming ![]() lagoon ![]() Untitled ![]() hippie dog ![]() evil squirrel ![]() hoboken new jersey ![]() west village, nyc ![]() Untitled ![]() pegs ![]() Who's that girl? This is only a few photos of hers, but in order to really get Kassady, you have to get to really know her. She is such a great person, and definitely deserves the right to be called a Buzznet Essential! I'm not sure if Sue is featuring someone tonight, but you can go here, to check out some of the people that she has featured in the past. =]

February 15, 2008Lost
I love the show, but that's not what I am talking about right now.
I've reverted back to my complete nerd state, and I've begun to watch anime and play video games like a fool. I haven't slept in about 37 hours, and all because I have been stuck to one screen or another. I'll stop soon. Just thought that I should let you know that I'll only be talking about things of the animated nature for the next while. (>_<)

February 8, 2008Guru John: The Seven Chakras, Tips For Yoga Beginners and A Meditation WalkthroughAlright, this is something of a side project that I have been researching and have decided to share with you.
The Chakras are the seven major energy centers in the body. They are found going down the spine, starting from the base and moving all the way to the top of the head. The Chakras are known to some as "aura" or "aria" and are known to have specific color and energy properties. As each Chakra relates to specific issues within ones body, when someone can learn to consciously be aware and balance these Chakras, they will find both inner peace and a sense of well-being. The First Chakra: Root The first Chakra, Muladhara (root), is located at the base of the spine. Its color is red and its issues are survival, stability, and self-sufficiency. Affirmation: May I be able to nourish and nurture my self, be grounded, stable, and feel connected to the oneness of life/universe. The Second Chakra: Sensual The second Chakra, Svadhisthana (sweetness), is located at the lower abdomen (between belly button and pubic bone). Its color is orange and its issues are sexuality, creativity, relationships and emotions. Affirmation: May I be at home and at ease in my body, and find balance in my relationships between myself (or my self) and others. The Third Chakra: Power The third Chakra, Manipura (lustrous gem), is located at the solar plexus (between belly button and bottom of rib cage). Its color is yellow and its issues are personal power, self esteem, willfulness and energy. Affirmation: May I be able to honor myself, be who I am in the world, and express that power without fear. The Fourth Chakra: Love The fourth Chakra, Anahata (not struck), is located at the heart (center of the chest). Its color is green and its issues are love, compassion, acceptance, and trust. Affirmation: May I be free to feel my true feelings, desires and passions, and be at home in my heart. The Fifth Chakra: Communication The fifth Chakra, Vissudha (purification), is located at the throat. Its color is bright blue and its issues are communication, inspiration, expression, and faith. Affirmation: May I be able to express my feelings with ease, and be balanced between heart and mind. The Sixth Chakra: Perception The sixth Chakra, Ajna (to perceive), is located between the eyebrows, just above the bridge of the nose. Its color is indigo blue and its issues are psychic, emotional and mental intelligence, and intuition. Affirmation: May I see and perceive clearly on every level, and seek only the truth. The Seventh Chakra: Universal Connection
Affirmation: May I have a clear and open connection with source energy (spirit), and live in the present moment. Now, I'm sure by now you are saying, "John has gone crazy on us; I'm leaving" or "Wow. I want to balance my Chakras and attain enlightenment." If you picked the second option, good for you! The way to attain well-being is to use a combination of yoga and meditation to put your soul at ease. Here are some tips on getting started with yoga: 1. It's best to practice on an empty stomach (especially don't eat a big meal 2 hours prior to class)--the body functions with a lot more if it is not also busy digesting food. 2. Never attempt to practice yoga while under the influence of alcohol or drugs (including prescribed drugs) which may alter your ability to stay alert to your physical capacities and could result in injury. 3. Dress as comfortably as possible for maximum movement and relaxation. Don't be afraid of working with your bare feet. 4. Be sure to inform your instructor of any serious health conditions, such as neck, back or joint injuries, heart disease, high blood pressure, recent surgery and/or pregnancy. 5. Remember that your body is different from every one else's. Listen to your body. Every day your body will have a different endurance level and your yoga practice will help to increase your awareness of this. Never be afraid or embarrassed to come out of a posture before others do or before being told to do so by the instructor if you are feeling pain or discomfort. 6. Learn to distinguish between pain and sensation. Pain is a signal that you need to stop. Sensation is a new awakening from an unfamiliar movement. Regular practice of yoga helps to develop awareness of the "edge" between challenge and unhealthy struggle. 7. If you are experiencing pain during or after class, check with your instructor immediately. Real pain is an indication that you are doing something wrong or that the posture needs to be modified in some way to gain the greatest benefit and prevent injury. 8. Women must be aware that certain postures are best avoided during menstration. Through posture modification, a normal yoga workout can be had during the menstrual cycle. 9. You must show up to class on time. Classes are structured, from beginning to end. It's essential to give yourself lots of time prior to and after each workout. 10. Personal hygiene is very important. Please come to class clean without any strong perfumes and deodorants. 11. If yoga practice becomes a regular part of your life, a personal sticky mat would be something worth purchasing. It's not only more hygienic, but it will enhance your personal practice when you are away from the studio. 12. Always try to be mindful and focused moving into and out of the postures in order to avoid injury. 13. Avoid unnecessary chatter during your practice. Not only will it disrupt your internal focus but that of your classmates as well. 14. Stay in the present moment with your yoga practice--this will magically carry over into your daily life creating clarity, balance and joy for yourself and for others you come in contact with. Here is a walkthrough of yoga meditation: Sit in a comfortable position, either cross-legged on the floor or in a chair. Sit up tall with the spine straight, the shoulders relaxed and the chest open. Rest the hands on the knees with the palms facing up. Lightly touch the index finger to the thumb. Relax the face, jaw, and belly. Let the tongue rest on the roof of the mouth, just behind the front teeth. Allow the eyes to lightly close. Alrighty. Now that you have the basics, you can begin to study yoga, practice meditation and get through your seven Chakras to the path of pure enlightenment. After you learn basic yoga postures and can meditate fairly well is when I suggest you decide to attempt opening your Chakras. Each Chakra has certain postures that are used to open each one and should not be practiced until the basics are learned. Practicing yoga has lead to weight loss, happiness and inner peace in the millions of people that have practiced it, so I want you to find something of the same. Do it for yourself. Related Groups:

February 7, 2008Buzznet Essentials - Like No One Else: MyKindaNormalMyKindaNormal rocks. Period. This girl oozes awesome. No lie. I bet that there is nothing that she can do that would take away how great she really is. Check out some of the sweet pictures that I've seen on her page:
She hasn't written many journals, but I would like to highlight her latest journal. "So much hate and negativity has driven many away from Buzznet, including me. I am so sensitive to it that it was making me so physically ill I had to have a break. There are people here I dont like, just like everywhere else, but I have stayed and been quiet and I think that is the thing to do. Fighting doesnt do anything but drain you of your energy. The internet is a scary place! Stalkers and mean hateful people have caused me to have to make my profile private, and it just shouldn't be that way. Also, we shouldnt feel pressured to comment every post or be on every day, Buzznet is for our enjoyment, it is not a popularity contest nor is it high school. Comment on the good stuff out there, ignore the rest. Write in all lowercase, all caps, lolcatz speak, or whatever makes you happy. Don't judge others, don't play games, be honest, be kind, and most of all just be yourself and have fun. Maybe I cant change the world, but I can change my life, and maybe - just maybe I can change Buzznet. It is a start, right?!?!! Let's all make Buzznet a fun and positive place to be for everyone. So try this kiddies, no negativity, only positive stuff...
Like Thumper's mom told him in "Bambi" the Disney movie, "If you cant say anything nice, don't say anything at all!"" This girl and I have many things alike. We want peace for Buzznet and we are NOT going to let anyone get in the way of allowing ourselves to have fun on here. I admire that, and I admire her. She is a genuine heroine, and truly like no one else. Be sure to check out Sue's BE journal! *smooches*

February 6, 2008Buzznet Essentials - Like No One Else: xblanksfaceThere aren't any words that I could say that could introduce such a great girl. xBlanksFace is one of the nicest of people here on Buzznet. She's only been on Buzznet for a little while, but I feel overjoyed and excited to add her as a Buzznet Essential. I don't know how we all got through everything without her! Check out some of her sah-weet pictures!
please ignore the dead bugs inside the light.
Now, when I say this girl can write, I mean this girl can write! Here are some brilliant journals that you should check out: Segment from A light, refracted and reflected.: "The sunlight must have caught my hair in a special way, as never before. My usually brown hair was illuminated in a glowing, bright red, and I caught the spectrum out of the corner of my left eye. "My Moves are White (White Hot, That Is)" was thumping into my earbuds, and suddenly I stopped. I put down the book I was reading and turned up the volume." Segment from The View from the Backburner: "Those thousands of holes made me think that I was insignificant. It's a ridiculous conclusion, but after seeing those thousands, millions, billions of holes on the ceiling, I felt just like one of them. Only here for decoration, never really noticed, just blending in with the rest. Then I started to think about the assistant's vain attempts at small talk, and how she didn't really care where I was going to college or what for, and how I was just another easy chunk of cash in her wallet. It made me sad that there were really people in this world like that, so I just went back to flipping rhough pages in my book. Again, my neck hurt from craning it to read, so after a paragraph I put the book back down." Segment from Let's Dance.: "They waited in line outside the restaurant patiently waiting to walk in and take their seats, filling the reservation they had made months ago. A gust of wind blew through her hair and the cold air bit at the back of her neck as she pulled her scarf tighter. He stood with one hand shoved in his pocket, one hand checking his phone and punching the keypad rapidly. It was early February, the 11th to be exact, and the two were only three days away from their year aniversary. They both knew how cliche it was that their anniversary was on Valentine's day, but they didn't care: it was more romantic that way. Neither of them held superiority over the other's head, they both felt incredibly grateful to find each other. She was bubbly yet paranoid and always managed to seem confident when she was actually quite insecure. He was awkward in the adorable way and always wore his heart on his sleeve." She most recently celebrated her 2 month anniversary. Can you believe that? I can't. She's a marvel, a wonder, a smile, a friend. But even though she does share these qualities, she is like no one else. She is her own kind of awesome. = ) Thanks for being on here and being so great. You make an excellent edition to the Buzznet Essentials.

February 5, 2008Shiatsu Massage Killed My Sickness!! True Story!!As I sat on my couch last night, I pondered about what I could do to rid the sickness. I had already tried (1) sweating it out, (2) every medicine known in America, (3) a mix of home remedies and (4) resting, but none of them did the trick at all! To say the least, I had given up. About 2 hours after I had given up, I went through Google looking for the benefits of self-massage (no, not that kind of massage), and this poster thing was what I can across.
After doing the first 5 exercises repeatedly over the past 2 hours, I feel much better! I'm off to try the 'Insomnia' exercise. I just thought I would let you know about the wonderful art of Shiatsu self-massage. It helped me. Who knows? Maybe you can take some benefits away from this journal. =] Much love. P.S. - Sorry that I have been out of it the past few hours. Fevers can get the worst of us, you know. Again, much love!

February 4, 2008Buzznet Essentials - Like No One Else: MiseryxChordHere is my DOOM, DOOMY, DOOM-DOOM, DOOM dedication to MiseryxChord (as well as her joint account, MiserysLifeOfDoom) full of DOOM!! Of all the people on this website, MiseryxChord has always been one that stood out. She is a photographer and an artist who has a heart for animals as well as an eye for splendor. She is also one of the few photographers on Buzznet to remember that COPYRIGHTED PHOTOS SHOULD NOT BE DUPLICATED UNLESS YOU HAVE PERMISSION FROM THE PERSON WHO POSTED THE PHOTO(S)!!! Despite the fact that I am using a lot of her photos, I actually asked and received permission to use them in this journal. I thank you, and here are some sweet photographs and art creations that just have to be acknowledged:
Viva Hate @ Las Vegas 01.19.2008
The Cure @ Download Festival 10.06.2007
Spontaneous, Sweet, Moments of Madness
Shalua's Kittens - Sephiroth 8.28.07 I would like to say that mXc has TONS of wonderful photos like this that haven't been seen...EVER! If you do anything for the rest of the day, go check out her beautiful photographs and artwork. Yes, she is an amazement when it comes to picture taking. If you liked what you saw, you will LOVE reading her journals! Some of my favorite include: Segment From Not Just Another Emo Death cult "Recently, broadcast news stations have been running "informative" segments alerting parents and others to the dangers of Emo-ism." Segment From Deadbeat Stalkers "So I'm checking my email last night and discover (to my surprise and annoyance... an understatement) that my obsessed stalker is still name dropping me and is now telling people I'm his ex-wife. WTF." Segment from Maimed, Lamed, But Never Tamed... "Don't even try to read this if gross medical things, needles, body modification (I think this qualifies ;p), general over-sharing, or the thought of internal ruptures freaks you out..." Segment from Who are you calling a c**t?!? "...AKA, considering the disturbing trends I've been seeing in casual language on Buzznet, MySpace, other sites, and the real world, it's time for a new installment of "Experiments in Social Theory!"" Here is even a segment from the journal that won her the Be Big On Buzznet contest! Check it out!!! Segment from MiseryXchord - Spontaneous Sweet Moments of Madness... "I'm slaving this over to my journal from my entry in the Big On Buzznet contest forum, because I just realized I never posted it in my journal when I wrote it, and that thing is ending in a about a week..." Yashiyama and FaidtheForgotten are her equally artistic daughters that deserve just as much recognition as their creative mother. This family is chunk of Buzznet. If they were never here, Buzznet would be left with a gigantic whole in it's side. mXc is a nice woman to be friends with, so don't be hesitant to add her and get to know her a little better. MiseryxChord is a Buzznet Essential who is truly like no one else! Also, be sure to make your way over to Sue's Buzznet Essential for today. We've got plenty more of these to go folks. Stay tuned!!

Buzznet Essentials - Like No One Else: IkkygAs many of you know, I have a twinship with this eccentric being here on Buzznet. She is an opinionated intellect who wears her thoughts on her sleeve (and wears them well). In the very little time that I've known her (it has literally been only a couple of months), she has made a friend in me. Here is a highlight of why she is a pillar of the Buzznet castle. Ikkyg has made some pretty fantastic photographic and editing feats. Here are some of her greatest:
She has also done an impressive Musical History project. Here is the first video of her collecion! If you haven't seen them all, go check them out! Some lovely journals that are worth mentioning: Segment from Things I Remember About Growing Up. "Tomorrow is my final day of school ever. Not that i'm sad to leave to leave my school. I find its zealous approach to religion and uniform in conflict to my indiviiduality. None the less, i still have many memories of my precious high school years maybe worth sharing. Some are good, some are bad. They all make me who i am..." Segment from The Bird- A Short Story "I felt a familiar pair of arms around my waist as I opened my bedroom window. "Good Morning, my love." She said to me, a distinct glow in her voice as she pulled me around and looked at me in the eyes, those deep chocolate brown eyes framed by ebony lashes. "I have something to tell you, Harry."" Segment from A House of Cards "Like most of my best work, I cannot put into words how I feel about this girl. She certainly is like no other and needed to be included in the Buzznet Essentials set. If you aren't friends with her, get with the program! We could totally start up her fan club. And get a move-on over to Sue's journal!! This project will be going on for a while, so just be sure that you occastionally drop by to see who is featured. Sue and I will have at least 1 feature a day going. =D

The Bricks In Her Castle Are Sturdy And Sad - An Album Review Of Kate Nash's "Made Of Bricks"This album review is dedicated to GemmaxLoves. Thanks for the recommendation!!!
Made Of Bricks - Kate Nash 1. "Play" The mood of the album is lit; Kate Nash likes to play! This introduction is as funky as it is This is an interesting way to start an album. It's short, sweet, but in no way associated to one particular point. It can branch off any way it wishes to. 2. "Foundations" A story that can describe at least one relationship that everyone has been in at some point in time. It's a speedy re-telling of a messed-up relationship, and attempting to keep it together, but eventually giving in to failure. Kate Nash sounds something like an airy British rapper, using melodies to her advantage and drifting through the song, as if it was sung in one breath. Unique and relatable. 3. "Mouthwash" This track is so delightful to listen to!! The piano piece sounds like something the Charlie Brown theme song; it reminds you that you are a child at heart, but you have business ahead. "I've got nostalgic pavements. I've got familiar faces. I've got a mixed-up memory, and I've got favorite places. And I'm singing, "Oh, oh" on a Friday night. And I'm singing "Oh, oh" on a Friday night. And I hope that everything's gonna be alright." Her vocal excellence reaches out, taps your eardrums the way that they like to be tapped and takes you back to the period in time where you lost your innocence and were utterly alone for the first time. 4. "D***head" Amy Winehouse should adore this song if she is to adore any on the album. It's one of those beautiful mouths spewing up bad words, but they say it so well, you hardly care. Very well constructed. Paced, dark and just a taste of humor. 5. "Birds" It's a little hard to tell Kate Nash from Lily Allen in this song, but the acoustic guitar really sets a semi-depressing/reminiscent tone that one can distinguish as not Allen's style. "All of my air in the world is how much that I like you." A sorry of lovely defeat. 6. "We Get On" This head-bobbing, toe-tocking song makes you just want to sit with a nice cup of tea and just laugh at the world around. Another dynamic piano piece is played to compliment that voice that she seems to let out from her throat. If you want a song to bring out mixed emotions in you, this one's it. Just let it out; tears, laughter, happiness, despair. Just be sure that you get on. 7. "Mariella" Although the song seems to begin slow and tired, it picks up very nicely with very clever lyrics. A contrast of sound, but I think that the transition from slow to fast could have been orchestrated better. 8. "Sh*t Song" "You don't have to be so up yourself all the time. You don't have to think about yourself all the time. You could come around mine; we could drink some wine it could be quite nice in the summertime. Actually, I might just have the bottle to myself." I take back what I said about Amy Winehouse loving "D***head", I'm sure that this one just may suit her better. 9. "Pumpkin Soup" The beat for this song is begging my feet to move. With trumpets, piano and soft vocals, here we have ourselves a neat song! 10. "Skeleton Song" This song reminded me of Björk; I could just hear a different voice singing the song. Beautiful, random, quixotic. We're even graced with the wonderful sound of violins. This is her most creative piece on this album, hands down. 11. "Nicest Thing" There are many things to say about this song, but to be honest, it just flat out sucks. Sure, it's good for those 'I-feel-like-crap-and-need-to-listen-to-something-so-I-can-get-my-emotions-out", but other than that, this track is a waste bin for me. Slow, (a)pathetic and tragic. 12. "Merry Happy" I wanted so much for the end of this album to be as funky as the beginning. Did I get my wish? No. "I can be alone, yeah. I can watch a sunset on my own." Repetitive piano notes is a major turn-off about this song, but the lyrics are so very empowering that you just get over it. NOT something that I'd honestly listen to more than once.

February 2, 2008Buzznet Essentials - Like No One Else: BizarrelandMy essential for my day is BizarreLand. I remember that I always knew about her existence here on Buzznet, but I was always so scared to drop her a note or leave her a comment. When I finally did muster up the courage to drop a comment to her, a weight was lifted off my chest and I was treated so very nicely. What really enticed me about this lady was her edited photos with a Dr. Mojo. Here are some my favorites from Dr. Mojo's collection of adventures.
She has also taken some pretty sweet shots in her time.
And even though she only has 14 journals up, each one is interesting to read! Here are a couple of good ones. "THE STRANGE AND WONDERFUL SAGA LIVES ON..............." (You have to see the pictures in this journal!!) "Long Island's BIG DUCK moves back to almost where it started. "Welcome Home "BIG DUCK" read the banner waving above Route 24, commemorating the successful relocation of the historic Flanders landmark." "WELL THE TIME HAS COME FOR ME TO FINALLY TELL YOU WHO I MET IN 1963.............." "If you read my journal " EIGHT RANDOM FACTS ABOUT THE LADY AT BIZARRELAND " you would know that I told everyone that my eighth random fact was that I had spent an afternoon with the most famous woman in the world. So I guess now you know who this is." "THE DAY THAT TOOK THE BEATLES AWAY FROM US.......December 8th 1980....at about 10:50 pm....." "As John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono stepped from a limousine and into the archway of the Dakota apartment building Mark David Chapman 25 of Honolulu, called out, "Mr.Lennon?" then went into a "combat stance" and pumped five bullets into him with a Charter Arms .38-cal. handgun. Immediately after the shooting, John staggered up six steps into an office at the rear of the guard area, cried out "I am shot"and collapsed on his face and died in the back of a patrol car on the way to the hospital. His very last word was "YES" when asked if he was John Lennon......" She may be a woman of 60, but she has such youth and kindness for anyone. I'm proud to know her. Go, check out her page! You won't be sorry. In fact, you'll probably be a more enlightened person for doing so. Thank you, BizarreLand, for doing your thing and being your awesome self. You are definitely like no one else! ;-) Also, be sure to move on over to Sue's dedication as well. Thank you for reading!

Odd Hour BlurbI feel like I'm wasting my time. Not here on Buzznet! God, no! I love this place, and frankly, whenever anyone says that they are bored whilst being on this site, well, let's just say that I get a little bit meaner on the inside. But in the real world. What do I do all day? Sit on my ass and watch TV. ALL DAY! And if I am not watching TV, then I am eating or cleaning or showering or brushing my teeth. To be honest, this whole year off was a bad idea. And I knew that it would be. Sure, I have all the time in the world to do stuff, but it's going to waste. So, as of tomorrow (Saturday; which is technically today) I am going to go job hunting! And if I can't find myself a job, then I'll just dive into volunteer work. Lord knows that I felt like my chemicals were more balanced, and my chii was free to flow with greater ease. My chii is something that is firmly bothering me. I've gotten groggy and so lethargic. I will have to start my meditating again. I only did it about 3 times a week for about 20 minutes each time, but it really helped me to gather my thoughts, think things through, bide my energy and afterwards, I felt more excited than ever. I should also start running again. Track was hard, but I think going about it alone is harder. At least I always had someone telling me what to do, when to do it. Many people I know don't respond well to orders, but I seem to manage just fine. Thank you, everyone, that will be following the Buzznet Essential journals that Sue (Crash13) and I will be doing! You will love them! =] I have to take my two placement tests for my classes in DePaul, and I'm scared, to say the least. I haven't done math in 8-9 months (THAT FREAKING LONG!), and I can count every book that I've read on just one hand during that period of clockwork. That, to me, is a little bit upsetting. And damn it!! All of you sick kids on Buzznet made me sick!! I think that I may have a stomach virus. I was at my aunt's today when my stomach started to act up. I'm typing this, now, with the faint scent of virus, under about 4 blankets, with a heater in front of me. I'm trying to sweat this thing out. I've also tried two home remedies, and they seem to be working. Not a lot, but hey, you can't expect miracles from honey, oats, ice packs and a lame exercise that involved me to "tighten and loosen the glutes so that your intestines feel at ease." Meh. In two weeks, I'll plan on these things happening: 1. I will have a job. 2. I will have my placement tests done for DePaul so that I may figure out which courses that I may take. 3. I want volunteering to be part of my daily (at least weekly) regime. If I can bring joy to people on Buzznet, imagine what can be done at my local homeless shelter or food bank! 4. I WANT TO HAVE ALL OF MY LETTERS/GIFTS OUT TO PEOPLE THAT I LOVE ON HERE. (Vanessa, I'm going to need your address!) 5. "Oh, how I want to break free! I just want to break free!" Queen. I was supposed to finish my Kate Nash, as well as Vampire Weekend, reviews by tomorrow, but I don't think that I can get them done while listening solely to Queen. One must have variety in one's life, or one grows exceedingly boring. Anywho, to wrap up this uninteresting tale, I leave you with a quote that I read was said by a Mr. Sigmund Freud. "Sex is the mathematical urge repressed." You hear that, Ikky? It's a safe bet to say that people who rock in bed, suck at math. :) G'night (or g'day) to all. I'm off to try my hardest to get some sleep. Sue, you and I will reconvene in the morning, I presume? HAVE A GREAT, SUPER FANTASTIC WEEKEND!!!

February 1, 2008Buzznet Essentials - Like No One Else: JennyBeanJennyBean is not only a cute girl with big, beautiful eyes (go here), but she should also be recognized as an essential piece to the Buzznet community! She is smart, has a wonderful sense of humor and is one of the easiest people on Buzznet to spark a connection with. To not be friends with her is a crime! Sue (Crash13) and I have her pegged as someone that is like no one else!! She is everything that we love to see, but didn't know it until we met her! Some of her additions to the Buzznet community include: Her featured photos!!
Remarkably buzz-worthy journals!! "Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome (RSD), more recently referred to as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), is a progressive disease of the Autonomic Nervous System with its key component being damage to a nerve. Generally affecting one or more of the four extremities, this disorder has also been known to affect the face, back, shoulders, hips, and in extremely severe cases, the entire body. RSD/CRPS is a subject that is close to me in a very personal way. This is my first Buzznet Journal entry and I wanted to write about something important to me. I hope that this can go on to help others who may have this disorder or might know someone who does." Inconvenient crying babies? Put 'em in a closet. "That's just what one day care worker in Lafayette, Tennessee did. What the hell is going on in this state? Teachers scaring the shit out of kids with fake gunman drills and now this. Dear CBS, What were you thinking? "Seriously, I'd really like to know. What are your reasons behind canceling such a promising hit series such as Jericho? I have scoured the vast land of various media types in search of answers and have found nothing." I had no idea God sent text messages. Just go check this one out. You'll get a good laugh out of it. ;-) And her overall prescence on Buzznet is her greatest addition!! She brings a taste of class and liveliness that is hard to find in most places. She has the best of intentions and knows just when to laugh! Thank you for being your vibrant self, Jenn! You play a valuable role in Buzznet Essentials!! Keep it up! We expect bigger and better things from you!
Remember, I'm not doing this project alone! Check out Crash13's dedication to Paxgitmo!
